Becoming a "registered employer" is easy, is FREE, and gives you a lot of power and flexibility when you search the database. Your information is always kept confidential, just like we do with the Job Center and the E-Résumé Database. We do not build lists from this information and sell to third party vendors. To ensure the security of this database, and to prevent unauthorized use of the built in "Advanced Features" you will learn about in a moment, we verify each new account by phone. This is done to ensure that those who are requesting access ... are who they say they are.

To illustrate the need for verification, let's look at one of the advanced features we provide for employers that involves prompting an employee to send a tape of their work. With a simple checkbox and hitting a "GO" button, our program will instantly send a message to an employee to send a tape of their work to you. If we did not verify our "Registered Employers," this could get quite costly to those who can least afford it.

Verification also provides a measure of deterrance, in the event that someone from your station or company signs up and says that they are the News Director in an attempt to get an account, when actually they are not. A simple phone call will protect all parties involved.

The final security precaution we will employ is to send a test message to the e-mail address supplied during the signup process. If the message is not delivered to the intended receipient and bounces, this will indicate to us that there may be a problem with the account and will prompt us to do some further checking.

To summarize, verfication provides protection for everyone involved, and is designed to be thorough yet minimally invasive.
